The AR2078 CO2 Rifle improves upon the design of the QB78 by using the familiar QB platform and adding a host of performance enhancing features. The most obvious difference with the AR2078 is the beautiful thumbhole stock made from Beech, stained with an attractive deep finish, and fitted with a vented rubber butt pad. The trigger is an adjustable unit and can be adjusted for pull weight and travel to suite your preferences. If you opt for ordering this rifle in tuned configuration, expect a trigger that is surprisingly smooth and light yet very predictable.


A competition Diopter Peep sight is included with this rifle which combined with the interchangeable front sight insert and hooded sight provides a highly effective targeting system that many owners opt to retain due to its reliability instead of switching to a scope. If you do opt for a scope, this rifle is already fitted with standard rails for fitting 11mm scope rings. The AR2078 can be powered with one empty and one full CO2 cartridge, or given a full charge with two full CO2’s. This rifle is also easily upgraded with a variety of fill options including bulk fill adapters and fittings for attaching paint ball tanks, making this air rifle truly versatile in the power source department.

In 177 cal versions velocities around 600 FPS are the average at temperatures above 70 degrees, while 22 cal versions hover around the 550 FPS mark. Just like the rest of the QB78 based series, these rifles respond extremely well to tuning and modification, and many owners have seen FPE of 13+ and velocities of 700+ FPS in 22 caliber easily achieved. Accuracy from the factory is rated at ½” CTC at 30 yrds which often appears to be a conservative appraisal with many owners achieving 3/8” CTC consistently.
